To make my easy roast turkey we're going to start by prepping an extra large
0:06
roasting tin with extra wide foil and you want to do a really long strip to
0:13
leave a lot of excess foil on either side as you can see here and then just
0:18
put your turkey in the center. Then you need to check in the cavity for any
0:23
innards and just remove those. Then take your olive oil and coat the turkey all
0:30
over you can do it with your hands or a silicone brush. Then take one side of the
0:35
foil and fold it over as far as it will go and tuck in top and bottom. Then take
0:42
the second piece fold that over tucking that in as well. It doesn't need to be
0:46
tightly packing the turkey just as covered as it can be. Then transfer it to
0:51
the oven and roast for 30 minutes less than your calculated time because you
0:55
want to take it out and uncover it and put it back in so the skin can brown
1:00
Then take the turkey out check it's cooked all the way through I'll tell you
1:04
how to do that in my recipe post and then leave it to rest for a minimum of
1:08
20 minutes. Then with those lovely turkey juices we're going to make gravy so you
1:13
might need someone to help you if you've got a very big turkey. You're going to tip the pan and let all the juices run into a sieve over a medium saucepan. Add a
1:21
in your gravy powder or granules and over a low heat just stir until dissolved
1:29
Then you want to add in your boiling water and I'll tell you how to adjust
1:34
for however many people you want in my recipe post as well. Then give it a good
1:39
whisk and leave to bubble and thicken for about five minutes
