Fresh and comforting all at the same time, these Apple & Banana Overnight Oats are packed with protein, fibre and essential nutrients to give your family the best start to the day.
300mlmilk of choiceI use either semi skimmed or oat milk
½tablespoonhoney or agave nectar*
½teaspoonground cinnamon
Few drops vanilla extract
2tablespoonschai seeds optional
2tablespoonsflax seedsoptional
Topping extras: sliced banana orsliced apple

Instructions
Add all ingredients to a medium mixing bowl and stir very well. Cover with lid or transfer to an airtight container. Chill overnight. Can be kept for up to 3 days in fridge (day of make + 2).
Notes
If serving to under 1’s use agave nectar instead. If bananas are very ripe and sweet, taste and you may be able to omit the sweetener completely.
If they are not accepting of cold oats, you can microwave it briefly to warm through.
For 6-7 month olds, you might want to leave out the seeds for a smoother texture. Also you can finely grate the apple if you like.
