To make my berry chocolate galette, we're going to start by adding your halved strawberries
0:08
and your blackberries to a mixing bowl, add in your sugar followed by your flour
0:14
Your flour is just going to absorb any fruit juices that come out and make that liquid thicker
0:20
And then you're just going to toss it all together really well. Next, lightly flour a clean work surface
0:26
You'll already have taken your block of pastry out of the fridge
0:30
just read the instructions and see how much in advance you need to do that. Then you just
0:34
want to make it into a ball by rolling it around on the counter. Then you're going to roll
0:41
it out until it's about three or four millimeters thick. You're going to try and roll it into a circle
0:47
shape as much as possible Then carefully transfer it to a large lined baking sheet and tip in your berries into the center and then just level them out leaving about a one inch border all around then just dot around your
1:09
chocolate chunks and nestling them into the berries then you're going to work
1:20
your way around the border pinching it in about every inch and a half until you've
1:25
worked your way all the way around Then egg wash the edge of the pastry
1:40
Then sprinkle over your brown sugar. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes until the pastry's golden, brown and crispy
1:50
And then leave to stand for about 20 minutes before you stir for those juices to thicken
