To make my strawberry Oreo ice cream we're going to start by preparing the strawberries
0:06
You want to cut all smaller size ones in half and then any very large ones cut in quarter
0:12
Add them to a line baking sheet, sprinkle over your castor or superfine sugar
0:18
and then we're going to just toss that all through really well and then level out
0:25
Then transfer to the top of your oven and roast for 15 minutes or until all those gourds
0:30
juices have come out then leave to cool completely in the meantime we can prep our
0:36
Oreos so just add them to a resellable food bag and then using a meat mallet or
0:41
rolling pins smash those down into small pieces once the strawberries have cooled
0:47
completely we're going to transfer them into either your stick blender pot
0:52
blender pot or a little mini food chopper like this one and then we're going to
0:57
whiz those up with the condensed milk Blend until lovely and smooth
1:07
Next we going to whisk the whipping cream into stiff peaks We going to do that on a medium high setting and once that done we going to add in the condensed milk and strawberry mix
1:24
Then using a large metal spoon gently fold the strawberry mixture through the whipping cream until just combined
1:41
add in your Oreo crumbs and again fold those in just until they are mixed throughout
1:53
Then spoon it or pour it into a container so I like to use a loaf tin but you can use a freezer-proof
2:11
plastic storage container too then using a spatula just roughly level out then cover
2:21
with cling film or a lid and transfer to the freezer for a minimum of seven hours
